How To Enjoy Fish Chowder

Bernie Levy had an idea for a fund-raiser for the new Bayside camp (and what are friends for if not to be pressed into service?) After we arrived at Sambro Head, we had to ferry over all the goodies to this deluxe site by canoe.
The hungry crowd, learning about the new camp and ready for their chowder.
Quickly, now. Don't let that bottom burn! (And what a job to convince Bruce to follow a recipe.)
The happy crowd after chowder (or chili) and strawberry shortcake and tea.

How idyllic. Thank you for a day spent in the company of friends. PTL

A week with Nana's boys

We kept Jack and Harry this past week when 3 year-old Bruce first came down with a sore throat. This night I thought I'd try Allison's theory of learning
by doing. Maybe when they're 12, I'll give up feeding them. Cheerios are one
thing; rice up the nose is another; more on the shirt and the floor was
happy days only for the dog.

We played Stairmaster the old-fashioned way before Grampy
blocked it off.

Wow! The TV keeps going on and off when you press this button!

The week was too warm for comfort so we went to the Lakeview
beach. Jack was very content to sit just by the water's edge; Harry is more
of a "let's get it all wet" guy.
